Investigative reporters go private

Wall Street Journal reporters Sue Schmidt and Glenn Simpson are leaving the paper to launch SNS Global LLC, which Politico's Michael Calderone calls "a new company where they’ll do investigative work for private clients." They also will be affiliated with the International Assessment and Strategy Center, a nonprofit foundation focused on security issues. Schmidt says they will investigate everything from counterterrorism to international organized crime.
