USC names its digital journalism trainees

Fifteen digital journalists from 10 states have been selected for the inaugural class of the Knight Digital Media Center’s News Entrepreneur Boot Camp. Local fellows are Julia Scott, who blogs at bargainbabe.com and former Daily News reporter; Lynn Walford, executive editor of Wireless and Mobile News, and Pamela Moreland, a former writer and editor at the L.A. Times and the Herald Examiner who most recently was assistant managing editor at the San Jose Mercury News. Release
