Villaraigosa

Isn't that Mayor Newsom?

Last night, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was in Washington for the White House Correspondent's Dinner — though you wouldn't know it by the caption at the Huffington Post. Ouch.

He was better-known on Friday night, where I caught up with Villaraigosa at the Annenberg Center for Photography party for Harry Brant Chandler's book Dreamers in Dream City. The mayor was having a good time until I asked what he thinks will happen after the state funding measures fail, as is likely on May 19. His mood darkened and he said it's going to be bad. 'Sacramento is broken," he said quietly.
