The book Vinnie's going to hate

pullupachair.jpgWell, maybe Vin Scully will end up being glad Curt Smith went ahead with an unauthorized biography. But Scully has said often that he didn't want a book done on him and had turned down many offers to collaborate. In any case, "Pull Up a Chair:The Vin Scully Story" is coming in June from Potomac Books. Smith has written twelve sports books, lectures in the English at the University of Rochester, and had been a speechwriter for President George H.W. Bush. The book has gathered jacket blurbs from Christine Brennan of USA Today, Juan Williams of National Public Radio and Allen Barra of the Wall Street Journal.
