Lakers a hit

arizaalcorn.jpgThe Times goes with 150,000 along the parade route and 80,000 in the Coliseum, where many were turned away. City News Service goes with 90,000 in the Coliseum and avoids a parade route guess. KCBS goes with tens of thousands on the route and 94,000 in the Coliseum. Looked like a pretty happy crowd, with just a smattering of arrests and about 30 people ticketed for swarming on the Harbor Freeway. I guess it's time to acknowledge that, since the 2006 student immigration protests and the Lakers unruliness the other night, plus today, the freeways are in play as venues for celebrations and protests.
