Anschutz adds another media arm

Billionaire Phil Anschutz's Examiner.com is acquiring the citizen journalism site NowPublic for about $25 million, according to paidcontent. Remember, back in June Forbes said that L.A.'s most publicly elusive major player was "quietly building a small empire of social-networking sites, newspapers and now a leading conservative weekly." That last item is a reference to the Weekly Standard.
