Local author makes good

williesboyscover.jpgJohn Klima, the writer behind the website Baseball Beginnings, has written "Willie's Boys: The 1948 Birmingham Black Barons, The Last Negro League World Series, and the Making of a Baseball Legend," about the great Willie Mays. The book is out this month from John Wiley & Sons and Klima was interviewed today on the Dodgers' post-game show on KABC radio. He also had a piece on the subject in the New York Times last week.
