Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is billed as the special guest at a fundraiser reception next Tuesday for New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine at the Beverly Hills home of Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito. Wait, is Villaraigosa helping Corzine — or is the governor helping Antonio get back in the national conversation? I think this is the first fundraiser for a national Democratic figure where Villaraigosa has been featured since the arrival of the new team, which includes former East Coast Democratic operative Jay Carson.
