ethierfurcalespn.jpgThe Dodgers' champagne didn't have to travel to any extra cities this time. Vicente Padilla pitched a great game and the Dodgers swept away the Cardinals in St. Louis this afternoon. Andre Ethier smacked another home run, a two-run shot in the 4th inning. It was Padilla's first post-season start, but he didn't show much nervousness: no runs, 4 hits and a walk in 7 innings, his longest stint as a Dodger. Next up, likely on Friday Thursday at Dodger Stadium, will be the winner of the Phillies-Rockies series; their game in Denver today was postponed by cold weather.

* Fixed day that next series is likely to start
