Chief Beck endorses Roski stadium

New LAPD chief Charlie Beck lives in Walnut, the city that had resisted plans for an NFL stadium in nearby Industry. Walnut has made its peace with the stadium plan pushed by developer Ed Roski, and now Beck tells the San Gabriel Valley Tribune that as a local he supports the stadium too. "I think its a great opportunity to provide a lot of jobs and to be an economic boost for the area," said Beck, a Walnut resident since 1996. "I think its a foregone conclusion at this point and time to look at the positive."
