Daily News loses another reporter

Sue Doyle covered transportation until moving this year to the police beat after the Daily News lost its cops reporter. She's moving on, reportedly to freelance. The newsroom note this morning from Daily News Editor Carolina Garcia:

All,

After five great years at the Daily News, Sue Doyle is leaving for bigger and better things. She has covered some of the biggest stories - raging fires, the Metrolink crash and the death of Michael Jackson. For two years, Sue wrote an insightful column about getting around in LA, Along For the Ride, or was that Blonde on Board?

We wish Sue all the best in her new life as a freelance writer. She's been every bit the trooper this last year and we are extremely grateful for her good grace and humor.
Her last day is Dec. 31 and we'll plan on a goodbye cake before then.

thanks,
-carolina
