Local surfer wins in Hawaii

Greg Long of San Clemente won "the Eddie," the big surf contest on the north shore of Hawaii. Here's the Register story from Waimea Bay. Also, the Register's Mike Goulding scored a stunning photo of Kelly Slater's ride (above) that is all over the media today. Register slide show.
