Mel Brooks at the Kennedy Center

kennedycenterhonors.jpgAt this weekend's Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, Mel Brooks said that picking up the award at the age of 83 was “better late than never.” Other honorees were Dave Brubeck, Grace Bumbry, Robert De Niro and Bruce Springsteen. Carol Burnett emceed the banquet at the State Department on Saturday night.
