Tributes to Rory Markas

Channel 11's news at 10 p.m. opened tonight with five minutes of reporting and personal commentary about Rory Markas, the station's sportscaster who was discovered dead at home in Palmdale last night. The coverage included nice words from anchor Carlos Amezcua, USC's Tim Tessalone (Markas announced basketball games for the Trojans, as well as did play-by-play for the Angels) and others around town. Here's Channel 11's Steve Edwards announcing the news on the air this morning — "this is a guy we all loved." After the jump a longer tribute piece from Edwards on "Good Day L.A."
