Jacqueline Montalvo, LAPD officer was 37

Montalvo was the officer who died in an off-duty crash in Diamond Bar on Thursday. The 11-year veteran of the Hollywood division was driving north on Grand Avenue when he car appeared to drift over the grass media strip. "Jacqueline was a hard worker and sought-after partner," said LAPD Hollywood Area Commanding Officer Captain Beatrice Girmala in a written statement. "She will be greatly missed."

From Paul M. Weber, president of the Police Protective League: "Jacqueline was a well-known and respected officer in the community, and her death is a huge loss to both the residents she served and to the Department."
