Hitchens here to give Daniel Pearl Memorial Lecture

hitchenslrg.jpgThe annual lecture series in memory of murdered journalist Daniel Pearl continues this evening with author and journalist Christopher Hitchens talking on "Varieties of Anti-Semitism." It's at 5 p.m. in Korn Convocation Hall at UCLA. Previous presenters have included Anderson Cooper, David Brooks, Ted Koppel, Larry King, Jeff Greenfield, Daniel Schorr and Thomas Friedman (who was mentioned in a previous LAO item today.) Pearl, who grew up in L.A., was a Wall Street Journal reporter when he was kidnapped and killed by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002.
