Yep, it's rattlesnake season

KTLA reporter Eric Spillman was riding his mountain bike in Sullivan Canyon when he saw what looked like a branch laying across the trail. It was no branch. Other bikers stopped and tried to get the rattler to rouse from its sun bath, but warily tossed pebbles wouldn't do the job. "Nobody wanted to ride by as long as he was in striking distance," Spillman blogged today. "Then, all of a sudden, he jumped and coiled back....Eventually, he slithered into the bushes and we continued down the hill."
