Anticipation: Scully on Ernie Harwell *

Legendary Detroit Tigers broadcaster Ernie Harwell died today at age 92. Legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully takes to the air for tonight's game against the Brewers on KCAL Channel 9 about 7 p.m. You do the math.

* Update: Scully talked about Harwell, one of his predecessors with the Dodgers, during the bottom of the first inning. They had spoken a few weeks ago, and Scully said Harwell was at peace and ready to die.

Also: Harwell had been scheduled to receive the Vin Scully Lifetime Achievement Award in Sports Broadcasting from Fordham University’s WFUV Radio tomorrow night in New York. Al Kaline, the former Tigers great, will accept on Harwell's behalf.
