Antonio and Lu host a party for Pride week

lu-antonio-ocamb.jpgFor the 40th anniversary of Christopher Street West and LA Pride, Mayor Antonio Villarigosa opened Getty House to a Sunday afternoon soiree attended by Speaker John Perez, Councilman Bill Rosendahl and other gay leaders from politics and beyond. "I do not recall ever seeing the Rainbow Flag officially hung outside the mansion, nor officially posed alongside the American and California flags other than in West Hollywood," Karen Ocamb posted at LGBT POV, along with a bunch of photos. Villaraigosa introduced Lu Parker to the crowd and quipped, according to Ocamb: “Welcome to public housing at its finest.” The parade is Sunday in West Hollywood, with a special award to former KCAL anchor Jane Velez-Mitchell.
