  • A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer died during a high-speed pursuit Friday morning in Redlands. His name has been released. LAT
  • The big winner so far in California's elections: Northern California. WSJ
  • Carly Fiorina's laughter at Barbara Boxer's hair is now an issue: "Don’t talk about a woman’s hair." NYT, LAT, San Jose Mercury
  • "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest, whose radio-show contract with Clear Channel's KIIS ends in November, is rumored to be mulling a jump to CBS. "The move would be predicated on CBS' interest in Seacrest hosting an afternoon Oprah-type show for the 2011 season." L.A. Radio
