Remains found in Malibu Canyon, but no suggestion it's Mitrice Richardson

The sheriff's department is taking great pains to point out that 1) several people are carried as missing in the general area, 2) it's many miles from the Lost Hills sheriff's station where Richardson was last seen (though not as far as some of the numbers in the media — the entire mountain range is less than ten miles wide through Malibu Canyon) and 3) there is as yet no evidence that the remains are hers. But they are definitely checking the possibility.
