One McCourt to court: no deal

Uribe tours Dodger clubhouse.jpgFrank McCourt accepted a divorce settlement proposed by the Superior Court mediator, but Jamie McCourt apparently did not. So an impasse has been declared, and it looks as if Jamie will now take her chances with the judge. It's not quite all-or-nothing for her, but she could lose any claim to the Dodgers and might not have to be paid off. Two reporters who covered the trial, the Times' Bill Shaikin and the LA Weekly's Gene Maddaus, have posted blog items.

The Dodgers, meanwhile, announced the signing of Juan Uribe (above) and traded Ryan Theriot — who cost them Blake DeWitt last season — to St. Louis for 27-year-old pitcher Blake Hawksworth.
