Bratton's company snags a journalist

Former LAPD chief and repatriated New Yorker William Bratton has been in town this week, presumably taking care of business at Kroll International. Meanwhile, the security's firm Los Angeles office, headed by former City Councilman Jack Weiss, has hired former Los Angeles Times City Hall reporter and Hollywood-politics columnist Tina Daunt. She will be an analyst in Kroll's Figueroa Street offices. Daunt most recently was freelancing for Patch and the Huffington Post.

Noted: I spotted Bratton and Weiss lunching yesterday in the lobby at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live. I hope their meal was better than mine, which was sufficiently slow to appear (and cold when it did) that it'll be a long time before I give it a second chance. The place wasn't even busy.
