Pay cuts for everybody at L.A. Newspaper Group

Managers will have their salaries reduced by 10 percent, other staffers by 5.5 percent starting Feb. 13. The cuts are "not temporary." Here's the memo going out to staffers at the Daily News, Daily Breeze, Long Beach Press-Telegram, San Gabriel Valley Tribune and other newspapers in the Singleton empire. So much for talk that the company had stabilized. Read the memo.
