Global health a hot Hollywood ticket

chernin-party-pic.jpgBill Gates, Eli Broad, Michael Milken and a bunch of Hollywood types came out to the home of Peter Chernin Thursday night for a discussion of global health issues. The gathering of the Foreign Policy Roundtable, an entertainment-based global affairs series, and Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria featured journalist Frank Sesno moderating a discussion involving Gates, the minister of health in Rwanda and Dr. Zeke Emanuel, brother of Ari and Rahm. Several senior studio execs attended (including Sony chairman and CEO Michael Lynton), plus director Ron Howard, actors Elisabeth Shue and B.J. Novak, City Controller Wendy Greuel and Alice Waters of Chez Panisse. Among others.
