nyt-applause.jpg

New York Times reporters Anthony Shadid and Stephen Farrell, and photographers Lynsey Addario and Tyler Hicks, were feted in the newsroom today. They were the ones held captive for a few tense days in Libya. Twitpic from staffer Liz Heron.

Also this tweet from editor Patrick LaForge: "2 minutes of silence were just observed at 3 Times Square for our fallen @Reuters colleagues."
