Dorothy Parvaz called her fiancee tonight from safety in Doha, Qatar. The first words she said to him were: "I'm so sorry." Parvaz, a former Seattle newspaper reporter with passports from Iran, Canada and the U.S., will return soon to Vancouver, the Seattle Times says. She was last heard from on April 29 when she was detained at the airport in Damascus, Syria. She was later deported to Iran.
