Police detain suspect in Bryan Stow assault*

stow-suspects-lapd.jpgA suspect was extracted from an East Hollywood apartment building in a SWAT operation this morning. Police are calling him one of the two men they have been seeking based on witness accounts from Dodger Stadium the day Stow was attacked in the parking lot. Some media are reporting the LAPD confirmed the man has been arrested; the Los Angeles Times says just that he is in custody. At least two other people have been detained for questioning, according to some media reports. No names have been released, but Mayor Villaraigosa and Chief Charlie Beck have called a 4 p.m. presser for Dodger Stadium. In addition, the sister of Bryan Stow says she was notified of the arrest by the LAPD.

Also: Jenny Burman at Chicken Corner says two locations were involved in today's action. The apartment where the suspect was arrested, says KTLA, was in the 800 block of North Mariposa Avenue.

* Updated post. Plus: A tip from a parole agent led to the suspect, the LAT's Joel Rubin reports.
