Press Club names its journos of the year *

Patrick Range McDonald of the LA Weekly, Radley Balko of Reason, Ana Garcia and Fred Mamoun of KNBC-TV, Susan Valot of KPCC, Kim Masters of KCRW, Daniel Heimpel of FosteringMediaConnections.org and Rick Loomis of the L.A. Times won the Los Angeles Press Club's various journalist of the year honors on Sunday night. Full list of winners later in the day. Here are the finalists in their categories.

Balko was named the "best of show" journalist of the year and won $1,000.
