Villaraigosa signs Grand Canyon ad aimed at Obama

grand-canyon-ad-nyt.jpgMayor Antonio Villaraigosa gets third billing on the list of signators to an ad this week in the New York Times calling on President Obama to extend a ban on uranium mining claims near the Grand Canyon. Ahead of him are Theodore Roosevelt IV (nice touch) and the mayor of Phoenix. The ad is sponsored by The Pew Environment Group, the green arm of the Pew Environmental Trusts.

Add Villaraigosa: The mayor hosts a 10 a.m. press conference Thursday with Father Greg Boyle to open a new Homeboy Diner on the second floor of City Hall.
