Obamajam coming back to L.A.

President Obama will be in West Hollywood on Sept. 26 for two entertainment-themed fundraisers, the Hollywood Reporter says in a little exclusive. The first event is scheduled for 4:30 pm at the House of Blues on Sunset Strip. The tab for that one is $250 to get in the door and $10,000 to take a photo with Obama, Tina Daunt reports. The heavy hitters sit down with the president later at Fig & Olive on Melrose Place — $17,900 per napkin for dinner and a Q&A. It's a Monday night, which is better than a Thursday or Friday, but there could still be some heavy afternoon Obamajamming in and around West Hollywood. No word on where Obama will spend the night or his arrival time, all of which influence when and how the traffic backup forms and how long it lasts. In April the president was here to separate Democrats from their money at Tavern and at Sony Pictures, and the previous October he was at USC.

It's the first Hollywood Reporter piece (I believe) for Daunt, the former Hollywood and politics columnist for the L.A. Times.
