BlackBerries working again, or so they say

Lots of consternation on social media today among media, politics and Hollywood types about being disconnected from their BlackBerrys. Says CNN, "The BlackBerry service outage started on Monday in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. By Tuesday it spread to South America. That night, RIM assured customers that the glitch had been identified and was 'now being resolved' -- but on Wednesday it got worse as customers in the United States and Canada were hit. The outage appears primarily to affect text messaging and Internet access, not necessarily voice calling." Local political consultant Michael Trujillo posts on Facebook: "Dear blackberry, thanks for reminding what my life was like back in 2002." Also this from TV news producer and writer Andrew Epstein:

Help, me... can't breathe... Blackberry down... send help...

The Wrap says that as of 1:43 p.m., "peace and order were restored. All was right with the world again....After more than half a day without BlackBerry service, Hollywood can breathe again as service was restored Wednesday afternoon."
