The Southern TV chef known for her Krispy Kreme doughnut bread pudding and similar recipes went on "Today" to explain that she was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes three years ago. She and her sons also have a deal to push Victoza, a diabetes medication made by Novo Nordisk.

No reaction from Jonathan Gold on Twitter, though he is offering a series of interesting tweets from the road in rural Nevada. Example: "Only parking spot near Elko Basque restaurant was in front of a brothel one block down. Things are different here."
