Paula Deen confirms diabetes and endorsement deal

The Southern TV chef known for her Krispy Kreme doughnut bread pudding and similar recipes went on "Today" to explain that she was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes three years ago. She and her sons also have a deal to push Victoza, a diabetes medication made by Novo Nordisk.

No reaction from Jonathan Gold on Twitter, though he is offering a series of interesting tweets from the road in rural Nevada. Example: "Only parking spot near Elko Basque restaurant was in front of a brothel one block down. Things are different here."
