LA Times advertising for ethnic niche reporters

The Los Angeles Times "seeks two energetic reporters to cover the Vietnamese and Korean communities in California and elsewhere in the West," according to a Journalism Jobs posting.

Applicants should be fluent and have at least five years of professional reporting experience. We need people with an ability to break news and write original features. Successful candidates will be able to capture the political, economic and cultural trends of these influential groups.

Meanwhile, KPCC's posting is still up — two months later — for the co-host to join the upcoming Latinoized, nationalized and lengthened Madeleine Brand show.
