This is weird: Village Voice blog says Gold to LAT, citing us *

A food blogger for the Village Voice this morning misread our latest post on Jonathan Gold and wished Gold the best of success at the LA Times, saying that LA Observed confirmed the move. Except, of course, we didn't. Our post was all about how the Village Voice blogger's ultimate boss, Mike Lacey, was trying to keep Gold from leaving. Wonder if there will be some conversation today between Phoenix (where Lacey is based) and New York.

* Good to know: It's pointed out to me that the Village Voice blogger is Robert Sietsema, the paper's longtime food critic and a friend of Gold's.
