Villaraigosa won't be named DNC chair *

There was a little flurry of excitement in the political Twitterverse this afternoon when the Daily News reported online that Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa would be named chair of the Democratic National Committee. The Democrats denied it, and the story was taken offline. But look for it to come back as Villaraigosa to be named chair of the Democrats' convention in Charlotte, with an announcement possibly tomorrow when President Obama is here in Los Angeles. I'll post later any guidance I can find on Wednesday's expected afternoon rush Obamajam in the Westwood and Holmby Hills areas.
