I-5 road rage incident takes a couple of turns

jerry-patterson-victim.jpgTwo men surrendered last night in the videotaped beating of a motorist on Interstate 5 near Boyle Heights — that's the video saved from vanishing from public sight by an Irish computer geek. Here's the other twist. The motorist who was left sprawled out on the pavement while two goons kicked him in the head was himself arrested today — on a warrant in another case of road rage where he was the alleged aggressor. That was in Long Beach on May 25, according to KTLA.

Jerry Patterson, 49, had been booked back then on suspicion of DUI, hit and run and assault. He failed to appear in court and a warrant was issued. The alleged victim in that case called police after he recognized Patterson as the victim in the latest incident.

Funny, Patterson didn't bring that up when he talked to Channel 5.
