Life Books has released a new book with photographs from the magazine's archives and other sources: "The Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Rock ’n’ Roll."

The book is chock full of incredible photos – including some rarely-seen images – as well as narratives that chronicle these remarkable musicians’ careers. From the very friendly rivalry between the Stones and the Beatles, to the drama and controversy which has always been a large part of the Rolling Stones’ story, the book explores the inside world of the band’s rise to superstardom.

As you know, LIFE has been an iconic brand for decades, and its photographers were often granted amazing access to cultural icons like the Stones. Inside this book there are dozens of intimate photos of the band in their early years including meetings with other musical and cultural icons from Andy Warhol to Chuck Berry, and personal moments with the band members and their families.
