Cynthia Fox out at KLOS after 10 years *

cynthia-fox-ringo-kcet.jpgLongtime Los Angeles FM radio voice Cynthia Fox is no longer in her midday slot at KLOS. "Although there was no official confirmation from the station, her name is not listed in the air personality list on the station's website, as the 10a-3p slot is now blank," reports All Access. Actually, when KLOS disappears somebody they go all the way. A search of the KLOS website turns up not a single hit for Fox. Her Twitter feed @CynthiaFoxKLOS has also vanished. Crosstown rival KSWD (FM 100.3) posted on its Facebook page: "You rock, CYNTHIA FOX. We are saddened to hear that you're exiting KLOS after so many years. We wish you peace and love." Fox goes back to the legendary LA rock station KMET.

* Added: Fox's exit follows quickly after the naming of a new program director: Derek Madden, formerly with parent company Cumulus Media in San Francisco.

Also: At 100.3's Facebook page, the good wishes for Fox have received more than 1,000 likes and 200 comments. Don Barrett of LA Radio.com posted an email from 100.3's program director, Dave Beasing: "Cynthia has accepted our offer of guest DJ-ing on our Sunday evening 6 p.m. My Turn program."
