New weather talent coming to LA: Crystal Egger

crystal-egger-knbc.jpgNBC 4 will add Crystal Egger as a meteorologist for the morning newscast, “Today in L.A.” That show airs Monday-Friday from 4:30 a.m.-7 a.m. Egger (obviously an early riser) comes in October from The Weather Channel. “Crystal’s skills and in-depth knowledge will be a great addition to our team, and will deliver to our viewers the weather information they need to start their days," said Todd Mokhtari, NBC4 Vice President of News.

Egger has also been with KDVR in Denver, KIFI in Idaho Falls and Cable News 16 in San Diego. She came through the meteorology program at Mississippi State University, but is from Southern California and graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications from UC Santa Barbara. Despite her roots in the Inland Empire community of Grand Terrace, she says her favorite kind of weather is a good snowstorm. Twitter: @crystalegger

Elita Loresca will move to the weekend edition of “Today in L.A.,” NBC 4 says.
