Dan Morain named editorial page editor at the Bee

dan-morain-bee.jpgSacramento Bee opinion page columnist and senior editor Dan Morain is moving up to editor of the editorial pages. Morain, 58, will replace Stuart Leavenworth, who is moving to Beijing bureau chief for McClatchy. Before joining the Bee, Morain covered the state Capitol for the Los Angeles Times and also had been in the LAT's San Francisco bureau. Going way back he covered the federal courts and the Westside in Los Angeles for the Times, and worked at the Herald Examiner.
