Out and about this morning *

I'm out helping the Survey LA team look for historically significant spots in Mid-Wilshire this morning. Won't be able to post a Morning Buzz. I did want to note this, though: in the photo the Daily News ran of its disheveled newsroom after the 1994 Northridge earthquake, that's our Veronique de Turenne on the left. She believes that is author and journalist Amy Dawes on the right. They were both staffers at the Daily News on January 17, 1994. [Update: Apparently not Dawes.]
