Toronto's mayor backstage at Jimmy Kimmel.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti picked a good few days to be in Mexico City on a trade mission (the subject of today's LA Observed segment on KCRW.) Toronto's goofy mayor was in town to do Jimmy Kimmel and take Twitter pictures at City Hall. For instance, he mugged with City Councilman Tom La Bonge and tweeted about it.

Ford also did something most Los Angeles reporters have probably never done: observe the proceedings of the City Council budget committee.
