Another angry American loner with guns

All six of the people killed in Isla Vista by Elliot Rodger were students at UC Santa Barbara. Even though he attended Santa Barbara City College, he chose to live beside UCSB. Authorities have now named the three men murdered in his apartment — two roommates and a visitor.

UCSB has cancelled classes on Tuesday for a “Day of Mourning and Reflection," and will hold a memorial service on campus at 4 p.m. The service will be webcast live.

Small protests have begun to form in Isla Vista over the presence of news crews doing live shots for TV.

Rodger legally purchased and registered his guns despite a history of mental illness. He had more than 400 unfired rounds with him when he died.
