Channel 7 pranked by faux DWP spokesman on UCLA flooding (video)

Quite a scene at UCLA on Tuesday. A water main rupture under Sunset Boulevard sent eight to ten million gallons of water toward the campus. The athletic fields and Drake Stadium quickly were inundated, water poured into two heavily used underground parking structures and several inches of standing water sat on the floor of Pauley Pavilion. A major cleanup is expected, followed by repairs to the basketball and volleyball floor. Sunset Boulevard was left with a big sinkhole and will be closed Wednesday between Veteran and Hilgard.

ABC 7's report:

ABC 7 also got pranked by a caller the station put on the air as "DWP spokesman Louis Slungpue." He blamed the break on activity in one of the Pauley Pavilion locker room — either a cherry bomb in the toilet or "a very large dump." While co-anchor Ellen Leyva pressed "are you 100% sure about this?" a male voice could be heard mumbling "it's a fake call."
