Michael Schneider's Great Los Angeles Walk marked its ninth year by traversing Ventura Boulevard from Woodland Hills east across the Valley to Universal City, then up to North Hollywood.

"Several hundred of us marched across the San Fernando Valley -- 'America's Suburb' -- on Saturday, getting an up-close-and-personal look at most of Ventura Boulevard," Schneider posted at his blog, Franklin Avenue. "And it was, like, totally awesome to the max!"

He has a fuller report and more pictures at the blog.
