Mayor Eric Garcetti has shifted his EricGarcetti.com web domain into 2017 reelection mode. Not much there yet — mostly just his generic bio of the moment with a photo of Garcetti and Amy Wakeland:

Eric Garcetti was sworn in as the 42nd Mayor of Los Angeles on July 1, 2013, after being elected four times by his peers to serve as President of the City Council from 2006 to 2012.

From 2001 until taking office as Mayor, he served as the Councilmember representing the 13th District, which includes Hollywood, Echo Park, Silver Lake, and Atwater Village.

Garcetti was raised in the San Fernando Valley and earned his B.A. and M.A. from Columbia University. He studied as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford and the London School of Economics and taught at Occidental College and USC.

A fourth generation Angeleno, Garcetti is married to Amy Elaine Wakeland. He has served as a Lieutenant in the U.S.Navy reserve and is an avid jazz pianist and photographer.

Peter Jamison, the LA Times' City Hall reporter assigned to bird-dog Garcetti, says that the mayor on Monday also filed forms with the City Ethics Commission to begin soliciting and accepting donations at Garcetti for Mayor 2017.
