There's a new Furillo on the sports beat

andy-furillo-twitter.jpgLongtime followers of the Los Angeles sports media scene will remember when Bud Furillo, who died in 2006, was a sports talk host on radio, and a columnist and editor for the sports section of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner. Word out of the Sacramento Bee is that Bud's son Andy Furillo, a longtime crime reporter for newspapers including the Herald, the LA Times and now the Bee, is trying his hand at sports columns now too. His first ran last week, about boxing returning to network television.
