Fire evacuations in Calabasas. Channels 4 and 7 on live

A brush fire started by a car accident this afternoon is burning right up to homes in Calabasas, close to the area of Old Topanga Road and Mulholland Highway. It's an out of control situation. KNBC-4 and KABC-7 have dropped programming and gone on the air live.

Some neighborhoods in Calabasas have been asked to evacuate. Agoura High Schools is open for evacuees. Large animals are being accepted at Pierce College in Woodland Hills.

8:20 p.m. update: Channel 7 switched at 8 o'clock to ABC's "20/20" special episode on Muhammad Ali. KNBC-4 remains on the air live at the fire in Calabasas, and KCAL-9 began its regular news at 8 p.m.
