What, no Finke story on Calendar today?

Editors of the L.A. Times Calendar section are probably relieved that today's LA Weekly does not contain a story by Nikki Finke. She's been working on a piece about Calendar coverage, and as a former Times staffer (1987-91) who covers the business of Hollywood and media for the Weekly, she appears to have sources inside the paper. No one assumes it will be a positive piece.

On what planet would the Weekly ever conceivably run a puff piece on the Times calendar section? I can hear Nikki's pitch: "I've got this great story about how good the Calendar section is, and how it's getting better!"
